Payment Policy & Commitment
We believe in being completely upfront. Before you ever book a consultation or sign a contract, here is exactly how our payment and commitment process works.
The Policy
All sales are final. Once your design is approved and we begin purchasing materials and building, your commitment is binding. Payment in full is required within 7 days of design approval. This is not negotiable, and it exists to protect both you and us.
Why This Policy Exists
Every Build Is Custom — Not Resellable
Every catio we build is designed for a specific home, a specific customer, and a specific set of measurements. Once materials are purchased and construction begins, we cannot realistically resell, return, or repurpose the project if something goes wrong. The lumber, hardware, screening, and finish are all sized and cut for your exact build. There is no warehouse to return it to, and no other customer it would fit.
Finalized Design Prevents Waste & Delays
Custom projects require a finalized design before construction starts. Over the years we've learned that allowing continuous changes after materials are ordered leads to wasted materials, project delays, and disagreements that nobody wants. Having a clear commitment from both sides helps prevent those situations and keeps every project moving smoothly. You get your catio faster. We avoid costly do-overs.
Where This Principle Comes From
We previously managed the call center for Renewal by Andersen — a company that custom-manufactures windows for each home. Their customers paid in full before installation because the product was being built specifically for them. While catios and windows are obviously different products, the underlying principle is the same:
"Once a custom project goes into production, both parties are expected to honor their commitment."
What This Means For You
You Get Priority
Your payment secures your place in our build queue. We don't hold spots without payment. Once you're in, your timeline is locked and we start sourcing materials immediately.
Your Design Is Locked
Before you pay, you approve every dimension, material choice, and feature. There are no surprises. Changes after approval are not possible without full re-approval and new payment.
We Build Immediately
Because we know your commitment is real, we begin purchasing materials and building your catio in our workshop right away. No waiting, no holding back — your project moves forward.
This Is Not About Mistrust
Whether you agree with the policy or not, we want you to know it was never intended to be unfair. It's simply the system we've developed from experience to protect both our customers and ourselves.
The Process At a Glance
Free Consultation
We visit your property, measure your space, and talk through your vision. No commitment required. $250 consultation fee — credited toward your build if you move forward.
Design & Approval
You receive a detailed proposal with dimensions, materials, and pricing. You approve the design in writing. No changes after approval.
Payment in Full
Payment is due in full within 7 days of design approval. We accept cash, card, or Zelle. This locks your spot and triggers material procurement.
Construction Begins
We build your catio in our workshop over 4–6 weeks. Transport and on-site installation follow. Your cats enjoy their new outdoor space.
